On Monday, we featured Anna Miller, a Trainee Childcare Practitioner working with Railway Cottage Nursery a private Early Years Nursery.
Anna said "I like how my apprenticeship has given me the job experience to prepare me for the future."
Ashleigh Brown was featured on Tuesday. Ashleigh is an Apprentice Janitor with East Renfrewshire Council, based at Eastwood High School and undertaking Facilities Management MA and already successfully completed Level 2 Facilities Services.
Ashleigh said "I am learning more complex skills and procedures increasing my confidence and knowledge. I am gaining more experience and this will ensure I can deal with essential documentation and responsible decision making. I am willing to take on new challenges and learn more about the operational and management of the organisation and hopefully this will lead to a full time position in this sector.
We featured Jack Hannah on Wednesday. Jack is a Toolmaking Modern Apprentice at Teknek Ltd., a manufacturer of contact cleaning equipment for the electronics sector.
Jack says “I have gained a wide range of skills and experience and am now involved in designing and producing production aids to assist in the assembly and manufacture of contact cleaners.”
On Thursday we featured apprentice Elaine Fettes–Dzerdz a Social Services Healthcare Modern Apprentice at Voyage Care, Tweed Lodge, Edinburgh.
Elaine says “This program has given me so much confidence and helped me learn more about my job.”
We featured Erin Dooley, Supervisor at The Station Café & Bar, Wemyss Bay on Friday. Erin is undertaking the Hospitality Supervision & Leadership Modern Apprenticeship.
She says “I am really enjoying my course so far, it gives you time to stop and think not just about how you perform a task but why you perform it. My confidence is growing in my workplace all the time and I am hoping this qualification will lead to management roles within Hospitality”.
