Modern Apprenticeships

The Modern Apprenticeship programme offers learners up to 4 years apprenticeship training leading to a recognised Modern Apprenticeship Certificate.  The length of the apprenticeship depends on the level of prior experience of the learner and the complexity/level of the apprenticeship.

Modern Apprenticeship frameworks are devised by the relevant Sector Skills Council (SSC) in consultation with industry employers and government.  Frameworks are revised every three to five years to keep pace with changing employer/industry requirements.

Depending on your circumstances, Skills Development Scotland funding may be available to fully or partially support you and your employer through the Modern Apprenticeship.
